What We’ve Accomplished

Working in partnership with the City of Surrey, the FCA spearheaded the following projects:

• Fleetwood Community Hall built in the 1930’s
• Fleetwood Park & Water Park
• Fleetwood Community Centre
• Fleetwood Town Centre Plan
• Fleetwood/Guildford Community Policing Station
• Bucci Park, the City’s first park funded directly from a developer’s DCC charges in consultation with the community
• Surrey Sports & Leisure Complex including the Fleetwood Youth Park & Bonnie Schrenk Park
• Surrey’s first off-leash dog park
• Annual Fleetwood Festival, started in 1998 as a celebration of the Association’s 75th anniversary
• Preservation of Fleetwood’s history for the Surrey Archives including the recording of personal oral histories of Fleetwood residents who lived in the area from the 1930’s thru the 1970’s
